I totally agree with the author. I was flabbergasted to find the pain management doctors didn't have a clue. After eleven years I realized I was on my own. The intense counseling I received at my local county mental health clinic was the key to my recovery.

Believe me, I was one of the first who was told oxycontin was NOT addictive. The doc had me taking 3 80mg TWICE A DAY, but my family believed I was the loser/addict. My 30 yr marriage crumbled, my kids hated me, there was NO HELP from society. Im still feeling effects emotional

welcome to industrialized medicine. It's not about the patient. It's not about winning, similar to industrialized war, it's about milking profits from the patient (or the war), because you would do anything to stay alive/win, just like the boots on the ground.
I say give the junkies all the dope they can pay for. I object to tax payers funding their addiction. Nor do I support our having to pay for narcam to save their lives. Their bodies their choice.
