Good.

Only 12 1/2?

As he should be. But, how much “time” did the Minnesota cop, who shot Philando Castile get? I’ll wait. No sensible person would argue this sentence. But, neither should sensible folks pretend to not see White cops not even be charged for MURDERING POC, as a matter of routine.

I’ve seen poor training as a consistent problem and just about all police departments in my life’s work. This Has to be addressed

Appropriate. But conviction and sentence wouldn’t have happened if it hadn’t been a black guy shooting a white woman. Police have a terribly difficult job. But when you’re given the right to kill legally you need to exercise extreme discretion.

hmmm, where are all the BLUE LIVES MATTER people on this thread? i can't put my finger on why they don't care about this one...

Terrible incident and he deserved the sentence, but I can't help but think that the only reason he was found guilty was because he is black and she was white

But, he’s black... so that makes sense.

The situation sounds same as for those officers who intentionally shot unarmed black men and black children. Why no convictions there?

Honestly 12 years is too long...just cuz he's of color and the victim was white...

He would be acquitted if he was white.

Then the acceptable racists shouted if it were a white officer, and black women? Well plenty of officer are behind bars for mistakes, too bad you aren’t?

He already got a break with the charge. Shoulda been 2nd degree murder. Woman was talking to them through the car window when this psychopath drew his weapon and shot her point blank. Why do something so stupid? Demonic control.Look at the soulless eyes-this dude be possessed, yo

So he's a minority. Figures that he got what so many white cops don't get when they kill unarmed non-threatning black folks.

I have to wonder if it was a white officer and a black woman if the outcome would be the same

Minnesota has gone Blue and become a Shithole State.

Taking bets on whether he would have gotten off scott free if he were white.

Of course THIS cop was charged and prosecuted- he’s black and Muslim.

He thought that maybe she had been raped ? ..and his own cultural norms kicked in .. he shot her because she had , he thought , been raped and.. ... Glad that they hired him anyway..Inclusionary !

This is tragic for all concerned. The sentence might have been longer, but the judge stuck to the law. It was refreshing to hear Mr. Noor take full responsibility, including saying, as soon as he pulled the trigger he knew he was wrong. Our police forces need reforms.

What? How did he get so little time? That was premeditated. 😡

Iz mad dat da racist polease finna shoot my cousin but dis guy gets off after 12 years, less wit guud behavior! BlackLivesMatter

I'm really glad they've found that person that is capable of doing the same for the rest of their lives. I was about to say the same thing about trump doing the same thing for Kushner.

NPR Choice pageCan anyone tell me in a civilized, cordial way why, in their opinion, abstinence is not a good idea? An argument other than ' it just doesn't work' Serious, genuine question. Civilized tone. Thank you. This is what happens when leftist whine, complain, throw fits and poke the bear. Shit would of never happened but it had to be echoed through out the nation. More coming. The Democrat Party and the media, in their zeal to protect abortion on demand, are now promoting what is, in essence, infanticide..has the abortion lobby lost any pretense of common sense

NPR Choice pageTrump - such a gangster. Horrible. Melania could kill him with fingernail file. Whatever it takes so that Walmart prices do not go up. Countries don’t take jobs away companies send jobs away and that is our global economy and will not change. Keeping jobs and opportunities for our neighbor to the south promotes regional stability. What trump is promoting is chaos and unrest for no rational reason.
