We are doing this all wrong. Undocumented workers should be documented and given tax ids. So that when they work they can contribute. Licenses are fine. They are not a US citizen and if they are convicted of a felony they are deported.
They’re not essential workers. They’re cheaper labor, period. I respect their willingness to take jobs that our freeloading Americans feel are beneath them. Take away the free programs and make these freeloaders work for a change. It’s the free, free sh*t that propagates this.

They are illegal immigrants. Drive without a Drivers Licrnse and you’re not an undocumented driver, you are guilty of driving without a license. Seems to me being in our country illegally carries a bit more weight.
About 11 million undocumented immigrants in a country of 330 million, on average here about 15 years. These are courageous people willing to start a better life here. A driver's license is a small price to pay for their labor.

No and no. In many states, you can register and vote same day with only providing a DL and utility bill. Think any election official is checking if that person is a citizen? Nope. The illegals can get DLs from their country of origin that they can’t use here

I understand undocumented workers are most of our essential workers but why would they not have work visas? If they are working then they would have ID of some sort. I’m confused why drivers licenses would be an issue
