Just watched this movie tonight.. omg.. talk about ugly. I loved the movie.. so real in terms of todays Coronavirus. If rules are broken and countries are pressured to allow people entry when they could be contagious.. it's a nightmare in progress.

As it should be. Contagion is the most accurate cinematic portrayal of how these things work.... from a variety of perspectives Check out our discussion on the film

Except that it describes a professor goes into the lab to experiment how to grow the virus himself... (behind the back of his lab members if I recall correctly) No professors in medical science do that kind of works themselves today, they are too busy with grant proposals.

On December 31, 2019, the first case of Wuhan coronavirus (2019-nCoV) was reported. By mid-February 2020, it reached a mild-pandemic level that had killed more than 1,000 people in China and the world over. Facts CoronavirusOutbreak

During the time of Lunar New Year, the Spring festival of China, a deadly outbreak of the coronavirus has emerged in the city of Wuhan. The question then arises,'What is the coronavirus? How dangerous is it?.' Facts Coronavirus Health Epidemic

Ok.. So, why I am watching the movie now with my fam!. Wow

It's not just the 'science' in/of/behind a film but also the realistic/contextual portrayal of human conduct: — Kamgi (cheating/manipulation) — Train to Busan privileged access to info/self-serving) — Return of the Living Dead (loss of composure; gov 'contingency plans')...

My favorite part is when Goop dies.

Was the stable jenius, Orange savior consulted?

...and World War Z

Outbreak. That should be trending too.

Outbreak was better.

The movie actually had science advisors. One of my professors at UW helped advise for this film.

I remember watching this film and becoming slightly germaphobic. Wash your hands.. don't touch your face.

FYI this is a Matt Damon movie. Paltrow’s character dies in the first few minutes.

Coronavirus: What has been its effect? Moved people to live with themselves,. Perhaps the lesson here is that Globalization, Internet and Soc Media have caused people to scatter themselves in their thinking & feeling i.e. their souls that is a wake up call.

I always forget if Contagion or The Thing prequel was the first movie my wife and i saw in theaters...neither bodes well for the planet tho

great movie. too real.

Heard that it was a big hit among public health doctors.

Watched it 2 nights ago. It actually calmed some of my worries - 😬

It also includes how some quack-grifter-“muckrakers” would spread disinformation. “Silver Solution” indeed.

Wash your hands the way a doctor does before surgery And don’t forget to scrub those fingernails

Rest easy. Trump has got this. He made an uneducated prediction that it would miraculously disappear in April. In light of that he's slashing the budget for the CDC and other world health initiatives.

Watched this on an airplane 😂

I thought it did a very good job in terms of the realism.

Kung Flu!

Brilliant. Now do Gwyneth’s Goop products, that are a sham at best and probably harmful at the worst. goopisharmful

Spoiler alert: Paltrow's goop via vaginal cleansing saves at least the women.. - 'Contagion,' a 2011 film abt a worldwide virus outbreak, is trending b/c of realism Stars Gwyneth Paltrow, who unleashes a deadly virus worldwide, causing millions of deaths

Paging camel_bluesss lilwetblanket

You might almost say it’s going viral

Because the media is stoking fears when in fact SARS was more lethal percentage wise and so is the flu. Stop being a Koch brothers purveyor of crap

Wash your hands. That was the moral of the story

Good review. If you haven't watched this film lately, I suggest you do; then prepare accordingly.

The Korean movie Flu is also interesting.

Is it trending naturally, or are streaming services promoting it on the back of nCoV2019 to force it to trend?
