Not gonna fly! Missouri man says American Airlines lost his prosthetic leg

He says their mistake cost him an arm and a leg — literally.

“You can’t do this to somebody that’s disabled: Just say, ‘Hey, we lost something of yours, but we’re not going to pay for it,’” Michael Williams, owner of the aluminum leg, toldWilliams, of St. Louis, handed a suitcase marked “fragile” with the limb inside to an airline worker at check-in before boarding a flight from Indianapolis to Charlotte on his way home 2020, he said.

“They roll me downstairs to the baggage claim. I’m sitting there waiting for my luggage to come off, and never comes off,” he fumed to the outlet.protocol in a bid to be reimbursed for the limb and other items, and eventually received a check for just $600 to cover his lost clothing, he said.
