North Texas sexual assault suspect is HIV-positive, police say

Investigators believe the suspect may have sexually assaulted people in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Houston and Atlanta. Authorities are asking victims to come forward.Authorities believe a man who has been accused of at least two separate sexual assaults is HIV-positive, Carrollton police say.

On Feb. 11, one of the survivors of the assault who was being treated at a hospital reported the incident to officers, police said. Police did not immediately respond to a question about how Tambaoga’s medical condition was confirmed.The following day, authorities arrested Carlton Tambaoga, 25, on one count of sexual assault, police said. He posted a $20,000 bond and was released the following day, online jail records showed.
