FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Beginning in 2024, the North Pole Police Department has announced they will be providing monthly bulletins on their activities in the interest of public transparency. On March 6, a summary bulletin for the month of February was released.
“We have a Public Safety Assistant named Chris Ellingworth who really spearheads that,” Smith explained. “This month he did two ‘Guys Read’ sessions which is a good opportunity for him to read to elementary school age boys and encourage them to get involved in reading. We also had 14 site visits to schools not just in North Pole but in the immediate area here, and we also conducted a few ALICE training in these schools.
