Nominated for Nothing: Adam Sandler gave his all in 'Uncut Gems,' but it still wasn’t enoughDespite a career-best performance from Sandler in a relentlessly entertaining film, this gem was apparently a little too uncut for the Academy. Oscars secret ballot: Academy members get shady on 'embarrassing,' 'genius' films in the raceEW sits down with eight anonymous Academy members for their thoughts on the current Oscar race and why controversy doesn't sway their voting hand. PARASITE PARASITE PARASITE I think Lupita deserved something for her role(s), but I just think she's a great actress so I'm biased. Wish it would have been as or more impactful as Get Out, but understand why it was kind of overlooked... I’m guessing the actress was Juliette Lewis, and the writer was Dustin Lance Black. I love trying to guess these things 🤣
