NOAA's chief scientist wants probe into agency backing of Trump on Dorian

NOAA’s acting chief scientist, in an internal email obtained by ABC News on Monday, informed staff he wants to launch an investigation into potential policy violations involving a NOAA statement supporting President Donald Trump’s assertion that Hurricane Dorian threatened Alabama.

NOAA spokesperson Scott Smullen, in a statement a few hours after the Washington Post first published the email Monday, said only"senior career leaders are free to express their opinions." In an unsigned statement issued late last week, NOAA said the NWS Birmingham office, which originally contradicted the president's claim, before Dorian came near the Florida coast, that Alabama would be affected, was wrong to speak"in absolute terms" on Sunday when it tweeted:"Alabama will NOT see any impacts from #Dorian."

What the hell is the matter with you people. I live in SFla, do not watch news stations, all LIARS. Have two hurricane apps on phone and follow NOAA so can keep updated. The original cones had the hurricane going across SFla and toward Ala. Fortunately we were missed. Grow up!

Every news station had the hurricane going across Florida into the Gulf of Mexico. NOAA has no clue where a hurricane is going, it’s models were wrong, and typically clueless, waste time and money with their lack of accuracy. Honestly, every ocean border state should be on alert

Even hurricane Dorian was not free to move, it should move at Trump's direction to Alabama, or Dorian shall under a threat of attack to its eye by nuclear weapons, NOAA has no way but to follow suits, or get fired by Trump, forgive these guys, they are employees, boss is crazy !
