No long weekend closures for Hood Canal Bridge during repairs in May, June

Emergency access will not be available during the closures, but with WSDOT’s previous plan to hold long-term weekend closures, officials say this solution will strike a better balance.

Crews will be working on restoring the pyramids on the bridge that help guide the two halves of the bridge together. Boats and cranes will need to be in the water with the draw span open during the repairs. Weather permitting, the SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge will close in May and June at night for the following durations:11 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, to 4 a.m. Wednesday, May 2410 p.m. Saturday, June 10, to 10 a.m. Sunday, June 1111 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, to 4 a.m. Wednesday, June 1410 p.m. Saturday, June 17, to 10 a.m. Sunday, June 1811 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, to 4 a.m. Wednesday, June 21
