With jury selection underway in a Georgia community of 85,000, it seems increasingly likely that some of the jurors who are ultimately chosen will have preconceived opinions on and personal ties to Ahmaud Arbery's killing.

“It’s the easiest time to get a change of venue,” said Don Samuel, an Atlanta defense attorney who is not involved in the case. “If half the people who are randomly picked are so biased they can’t even sit as jurors, you’re talking about a community that’s saturated by pretrial publicity.

That’s a horrible headline and complete conjecture!!

1 Quick convict by friends of victim on jury 2 Oops, trial venue prejudicial 3 Appeal. Granted. New Trial. Neutral Location. 4 Acquittal of defendant at fair trial venue 5 Mostly peaceful riots and police station burning

Georgia is Georgia and the KKK is alive and well, allbeit in new shirts.

A jury of their 'peers' could mean that this father-son team of murder-clowns can pack to go home. Getting a bad feeling about this one. 🤢

Well I’m from the UK and am well aware of this case. Most informed citizens who care about their communities would also be aware of it, I should imagine.

an all yt jury

Sorta like how all of the white murderer's who kill unarmed black people get the support of whites right

Anyone could say they don’t have preconceived beliefs but have them anyway. Luckily everyone wants to get out of jury duty so these people usually see themselves out the door

Potential jurors either know the case well, know the defendants or are scaredFinding jurors to sit in the trial for the three men charged in Ahmaud Arbery's killing is proving difficult. Felon I was expecting to hear that police shot Arbery because that would make more sense; but no, it was ordinary citizens taking the law into their own hands? Not shocking: it took pressure from the media to even get the local police department to investigate his murder. Bs
