CLEVELAND, Ohio - On March 24, 2013, Cleveland Clinic nurse Aliza Sherman was savagely stabbed 11 times in downtown Cleveland, and now 11 years later her killer is still on the streets.
Sherman was supposed to meet her attorney at the office building that day. She was in the midst of a long-drawn-out divorce that was finally set to go to trial just days later. A small group of friends and loved ones of Sherman gathered on the 11th anniversary of her tragic death to read a poem, light a single candle, and pause for a moment of silence in her memory.
As members of the group embraced to comfort each other they admit they’re frustrated that no one has been arrested and held responsible for the horrible crime. Mary Foyer who was also a friend of Sherman’s says no answers and no arrest after all this time is puzzling, “It’s been a few frustrating years and we’re hoping this will be the year now that justice is served.”
