Nikola Motor Chief Trevor Milton purchases luxury Utah ranch for a record $32.5 million

Trevor Milton, chief executive of Nikola Motor, a rival of electric car concern Tesla that makes hydrogen-electric trucks, has paid $32.5 million for a ranch in Utah. The deal sets a new price record for the state, according to the listing agent.

“I feel like my generation is asset light, wants smaller everything and is moving to cities, which is the opposite of what I wanted in life,” said Mr. Milton, 37, in an email. “I enjoy the country, space, privacy and wildlife rather than skylights.... I wanted to create a sanctuary...
