At one point, Haley attempted to explain the situation by pointing at a field of green grass, saying, “That would be like you saying that grass is blue and you genuinely believing it. Is it irresponsible that you’re colorblind and you truly believe that?”
“He deserves the truth. Is he hearing the truth?” Haley questioned. “I don’t think certain people around him are telling him the truth.” At another point, she specifically mentioned his lawyers had done him a “disservice.”. She’s also been making moves that suggest she’s prepping for a 2024 run. Hypothetically, Trump could be barred from running again if he’s convicted on an article of impeachment for inciting an insurrection.
Even if Trump is never a candidate again, Haley acknowledged that his influence over the party will linger. “I know how much people love Donald Trump. I know it. I feel it,” . “Whether it’s an RNC room or social media or talking to donors, I can tell you that the love they have for him is still very strong. That’s not going to just fall to the wayside.”
Really disappointing to see Teen Vogue, a publication I respect and think has approached its editorial choices with moral clarity, giving a platform to Nikki Haley. She did the bidding of white supremacists abroad, willingly & with only her self interest in mind. Unacceptable.
But will she support impeaching him?
Stop giving these apologists any credit - she's waffled on this exact subject countless times, just like Lindsay Graham. It's a political game because she wants to run in 2024, and you're helping her do it.
Nikki Haley is also an anti-Palestinian terrorism apologist who likes cozying to dictators, so I'm not sure we should be glorifying her.
Give her a few days and she'll walk it back like she always does.
Dear young women, do not emulate Nikki Haley.
