This will be the first time we've seen the Dolphins wear this particular throwback since 2003, when the NFL used to celebrate Thanksgiving football with throwback uniforms. The Cowboys responded by wearing throwback-inspired uniforms as well, which made for a easy match-up to watch if you were a fan of uniforms.
Elsewhere in Florida, there are rumors that the Jacksonville Jaguars could have some throwbacks up their sleeves as well. Even though the Jaguars are set to begin only their 25th season in the NFL, they have already had seven different sets of uniforms. That means that they actually have a decent throwback catalog to choose from if they decide to wear throwbacks. According to a source forof the Full Press Coverage online network, Jacksonville may be wearing a throwback uniform as well.
Considering that a few teams have already put it out there that they intend to wear throwbacks for this upcoming season, it wouldn't be a shock to see this rumor come true -- even for a young franchise like the Jaguars. In my personal opinion, Jacksonville and/or Nike couldn't go wrong with recreating anything that the Jaguars wore before 2009.
