Newport Harbor baseball defeats Oaks Christian for Division III regional title

Less than three weeks ago in a game against the Lions, the Sailors relinquished a two-run lead and wound up losing 3-2 in the CIF Southern Section Division III semifinals.

“I have to thank my team,” Liolios said. “They’ve carried me throughout times when I’ve been struggling. “I went into this game hoping I would play the best I could and my team picked me up too.”
