Arizona State quarterback Emory Jones is his own worst critic. So says head coach Herm Edwards. Offensive coordinator Glenn Thomas agrees.
"Growing up it was just me and my mom. I'm an only child so I was always with her 24-7. She would be on me about schoolwork. She honestly gets all the credit for me being the person that I am today. Me being so poised, she made me the person I am today," he said. "As soon as Emory stepped into the building you felt that leadership presence by him and the experience of a quarterback, somebody that’s looking to win, contribute to the team," senior linebacker Kyle Soelle said."He’s a great asset to have on the team and I’m looking forward to seeing him in maroon and gold."
"For me, I go out there with the same expectations, hold myself to a high standard and the guys around me. I put a lot of pressure on myself, mainly to try and be perfect. Can't be perfect in this game. It's hard. It's a long game but that's something I'm working on. Just go out there and doing my job. I told the other guys, if all 11 guys do their job to the best of their ability, it'll all work out. That's what I try and do every single play.
