'The bottom line—we will absolutely be prepared election night to protect our residents,' said Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler.

Law enforcement authorities across the U.S. are in the process of making contingency plans for the possibility of protests over the outcome of the upcoming presidential election.

"This November 3rd will be the one of the most highly contested presidential elections in the modern era," the memo read."There is also a strong likelihood that the winner of the presidential election may not be decided for several weeks.

Why would Ted Wheeler 'protect' people after the election? He's done zip nada since January, allowing thugs and vandals in the city and suburbs at night, then doing catch and immediate release on the bad guys. He might take names but there is not an ounce of kick ass in him.
