NYSE owner defends stock sales after coronavirus briefing by CEO Sprecher and wife Sen. Loeffler

The company that owns the New York Stock Exchange on Friday defended stock sales of millions of dollars of shares by its CEO and his U.S. senator wife after she received a private Congressional briefing about the coronavirus outbreak.

"Such transactions are in compliance with Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. policies and procedures," the company said.
