Democrats in New York who won seats campaigning on taxing the wealthy and expanding tenants’ rights plan to keep pushing change in Albany

Democrats who dominate the New York state Assembly will convene virtually this week to discuss their strategy for the coming months and start to work out how their conference will absorb a group of progressive insurgents who are succeeding some of the chamber’s most senior members.

The insurgents are among the 19 new Democratic members who won seats in November, a larger class of new lawmakers than most years. The insurgents say they plan to continue their campaigns for increasing taxes on the wealthy, expanding tenants’ rights...

As they fuckin should!

Every time a desperate Illinois raises taxes on the waning few, a few more leave. It’s a zero sum game. Politicians don’t seem to know that it’s still a free country and that people have choices.

Keep taxing the wealthy and they will move their wealth elsewhere in order to retain it.

Taxing the wealthy is not solution for people with lowest income. Enterpreneurship, education and low interest loans for small bussiness is much better solution for low income residents.

The exodus from New York is gaining steam.

And pushing the people paying for their progressive list of demands out of the state. What a bunch of geniuses.
