New York's public safety mayor faces subway attack while in Covid quarantine

Eric Adams lamented his cloistered situation, saying in a virtual television interview, "You know me, you know I want to be on the ground."

The mayor, who has previously defined success as eliminating “any shootings in my city,” said on NY1 Tuesday that the incident stems from an “overproliferation” of guns nationally. Transit crimes jumped over 75 percent in January compared to the same period last year, according to city data. Major crime across the city is up 44 percent.

I Eric Adams blame everything and everyone else for this atrocity. I accept no responsibility as the presiding mayor of NYC. I’m a poser seeking out the next BIG Red Carpet event. Had I actually conducted work from my office, I would not be hiding behind a COVID quarantine.

We don’t know the suspect’s motive or mental state. If it is a hate crime crime or terrorism, he would have used other weapons if a gun was not available.

If you imprison the criminals the gun will go dormant.

Never take something from people with nothing to lose without AT LEAST offering an alternative.

Nearly 1 in 100 New Yorkers is homeless. You'll immediately reduce crime/violence by providing social housing for these people. Other rich countries figured this out decades ago.
