The New York City Board of Elections said Tuesday that it would resend almost 100,000 absentee ballots for the coming November election after a printing error that could invalidate some votes.
Board of Elections Executive Director Michael Ryan said the affected voters were registered in Brooklyn and began receiving absentee ballots this week. A spokeswoman said the inner “oath envelope” that must be signed by voters to validate their ballots was printed with the incorrect name.
