San Antonio's new UT School of Public Health is on track to welcome students in August. The University of Texas Board of Regents in 2021 approved the school's creation, and Dr. Vasan Ramachandran was named its founding dean in September 2022. The school is a collaboration between the University of Texas at San Antonio and UT Health San Antonio. The school will be housed in a 5-story building on the the Greehey campus of UT Health in the South Texas Medical Center.
San Antonio medical students find out which residency program they got While the school's inaugural class will be small — with about 40 masters students — but Ramachandran said it's expected to serve about 350 students within five years. Enrollment will surpass 100 people in the third year.
