A group of Bay Area mothers have paid to put up a huge billboard in Union Square Monday, highlighting extensive drug problems in San Francisco.

“Our greatest concern is people will come to the city where there are dirty needles and feces and people using drugs openly and leftover fentanyl and children will get a hold of it,” said Jacquee Berlinn, Co-Founder of Mothers Against Drug Deaths.“My son is an addict on the streets of San Francisco,” she said.“He says lately so many people are coming in and buying fentanyl to bring back to the suburbs, even high school kids are coming in to buy fentanyl,” she said.

“Anyway, they have to arrive is definitely dangerous for them. The drug dealing is out of control and unchecked,” he said. Mesnick he shot a video Saturday, in which he said is proof of the pervasive drug problem. He added that a man apparently overdosed on the street and a good Samaritan jumped in to help him.Mesnick said he supports the mothers’ efforts to bring the problem to the forefront.

Berlinn said her group won’t stop with the billboard in Union Square. They plan to launch an international campaign as well.

What do the propose we do about it? Throw more people in jail at $65k a year? What about using that money for real, actual, available residential treatment, harm reduction, and medical treatment?

If folks could stomach “Do Heroin with Friends” billboard, they can stomach this one

This is likely nothing more than a astroturfed campaign funded by a billionaire trying to oust the SF DA.

Yes because wasting money on a topic that anyone with eyes is aware of already is a great allocation of non-profit funds.

Its called free speech....and its true...the TL is a slap in the face to all residents of the TL and SF..

Sf is 💩

They forgot to add car jackings, smash and grabs, and organized looting

Bd also world famous for a DA that refuses to prosecute criminals of all kinds, from violent criminals to career criminals to drug dealers who are killing their customers and in turf wars. Well done SF voters for supporting such an idiot.

Fent is a cheap, insta high & why they use it in everything. For immediate high. Half life super short (minutes), then want/need more. Most cities/suburbs/countryside have drug probs & they are just hidden in 🇺🇸utopia

Good idea. People red to be informed of the danger.
