Children in New York pediatric nursing homes who haven’t been able to hug or kiss their parents for six months will have an easier path to family visits, under new state rules for preventing the spread of coronavirus

The New York Department of Health loosened restrictions on visits for the most vulnerable children and teenagers on Wednesday night. Parents expressed joy and relief Thursday at the prospect of reuniting with their children and keeping them from feeling abandoned.
