New Nike uniform rules prohibit Phillies from wearing green St. Patrick’s Day jerseys

which is well-known as St. Patrick’s Day.

But, due to a rule coming from Major League Baseball’s new uniform manufacturer, the Phillies will not be donning the traditional and popular Kelly green jerseys and caps,Nike took over as Major League Baseball’s uniform maker two years ago and requested that team limit themselves to four jerseys. The green St. Patrick’s Day uniform did not make the cut.

The WIP report says an MLB team can request a fifth uniform they are part of the “City Connect” program. The Phillies do not have a City Connect jersey this year.
