The region was under a red flag warning because of very dry and windy conditions expected to last through Monday.in the Lakewood area near the Garden State Parkway," The NWS office in Mount Holly said on Twitter. "Relative humidity is around 20% in the area with winds gusting near 40 mph, making for difficult conditions for firefighters.
Lakewood is in Ocean County, not Orange County.
