New downtown Denver jeweler opens in historic city landmark

One of downtown Denver’s newest jewelers found a home inside of a historic city landmark: the space of the former First National Bank of Denver in the Equitable Building. The Vault operates on a reservations-only basis. 💍

at 730 17th St. opened its doors in October. The business is tucked into the Equitable Building, which dates back to 1892 and was referred to as “the showpiece of Denver’s thriving financial district” at the time.

“First impressions are everything … and the Equitable Building has surpassed our expectations,” said founder and CEO Morgan Powell. “The building’s detailed exterior draws you in, and as soon as you walk through the door, you can feel the history in the walls.” Situated in the Central Business District, The Vault features a 2-ton 1890s-era vault door and century-old marble floors.
