New details after Hays CISD releases video of deadly school bus crash

A new video shows the moments leading up to the crash involving a Hays CISD school bus and a concrete truck.The investigation into the violent crash involving a cement truck and Hays CISD school bus remains under investigation, but DPS confirmed to KVUE that no charges have been filed at this time., and Wallace were killed in the crash after the concrete truck veered into the westbound lanes of State Highway 21.

Footage of the crash obtained by the Statesman shows the concrete truck collide with the bus, which was carrying 44 pre-K students and 11 adults from the school as they returned from a field trip to a zoo in Bastrop County. Wallace was driving behind the bus, according to officials. According to the video obtained by the Statesman, the bus driver tried avoiding the crash by partially moving onto the shoulder before it was hit. The entire crash happened in less than 10 seconds.
