Nicholas Moseby, 41, of Concord, pleaded not guilty at an arraignment Tuesday afternoon.

MARTINEZ — The Contra Costa District Attorney has filed three new criminal charges against a Danville middle school teacher and cheerleading coach after authorities identified two new alleged victims, bringing the total number to four, court records show.

The charges come as the DA’s office continues to investigate allegations against Moseby, including dozens of tips that came in as. Moseby was employed by the San Ramon Valley Unified School District as a biology teacher, and worked as a cheerleading coach for a private youth cheerleading organization called Nor Cal Elites. He was fired by the cheerleading company and placed on leave by the school district after his arrest.

Spokeswomen for both the district and Nor Cal Elites say they were unaware that Moseby had been arrested for soliciting a prostitute in a 2015 undercover sting in Oakland, for which he was prosecuted but went through a diversion program. The school district superintendent confirmed, though, that Moseby had disclosed a 2009 arrest for allegedly proving alcohol to his then-18-year-old girlfriend, who attended the high school where he worked. At the time, Moseby was 28 years old.
