New California laws taking effect on Jan. 1, 2022 include wildfire management, lower speed limits, cocktails and higher minimum wages.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Every year, new laws are approved in California in the hope of tackling the problems people face in the Golden State.

Those taking effect on Jan. 1, 2022 range from wildfire management, minimum wage, traffic safety rules and mental health.Existing law prohibits, among other things, a person from setting fire or causing fire to be set to any forest, brush, or other flammable material that is on any land that is not the person's own. This had hampered efforts to clear overgrowth that fueled so many of the runaway wildfires in California over the last few years.

This bill reduces the liability of those who are doing prescribed control burns for the purpose of wildland fire hazard reduction in the hopes it will encourage more to get that dry fuel cleared up ahead of the next fire season.

The U.S is all about Laws but do the Government follows them? 🙄 I don't thinkso

That wage is helping people now how?

If you don’t start doing your jobs, you will lose them abc7

A lot of people are getting locked away by Twitter based on unconstitutional rules some corporation that thinks it can appropriate human speech for profit has illegally enforced with the help of oligarchs at news organizations like

A lot of people are getting locked away by the state of california for exercising their 1st am right under bogus mental health laws that hurt more than help and medicate people into life long oblivion and non existence.

For the record, twitter didn’t care two months ago. The persons mental health only mattered when the cal edd and lapd got caught trying to intimidate a critic of cal gov

Much more to this story you refuse to cover because abc7 doesn’t care about the rights of poor people or mentally ill people. They want them hidden away, heavily medicated and unable to talk at all.

GavinNewsom or sum1 in his gov, in tandem with Twitter and LACity continue 2 violate th civil rights of an abuse victim who has a right to do as Jesus would do becuse it’s protected speech in America 2 threaten suicide 2 people who r selfish and making the world a worse place

Yay! We can still get cocktails to go 🍸 🍹

Why not focus on things that really need to be focused on why I care about speeding you call your car gets stolen and it never gets recovered

Well I really hope that y'all hire more mental health specialist because the mental health specialist is cases are already overloaded so how is this going to be possible

I'll Drink to that !

Yay we really needed to address cocktails to go. Not the rampant crime or homelessness. That can wait.

But criminals can steal up to $900 in merchandise and not have Any kind of charges?!! Come on, this is ridiculous with these trivial new laws.

Brooo $15 dollars ain’t shit lmao do $20 gass is 5 bucks right now

Good to see lower speed limits. We need an even higher minimum wage though.

I haven’t seen a car pulled over for speeding here in 3 years

Raise the minimum wage to $15 Really 😒🤦🏻‍♀️

Why new laws? We don’t enforce the laws we have Imigratn theft bail second amendment!!!

Some are confused with the cocktails but it means that All drinks are required to be sold with an actual meal. So if a bar doesn't serve food, it cannot participate in selling drinks to-go. Governor newsom signed a S.B. 389 cocktails to go.

yall need to open amd read the articles SMH.

THANK GOD! ...but totally lost on the cocktail thing 🤔

What about cocktails?

🏛🇺🇸

None on silencing inciteful media?

I’m here for the cocktails to go
