New 911 Targa marks 50 years of Porsche Design

Although 'Porsche Design' might conjure up visions of iffy sunglasses and expensive suitcases, it's more significant than ever. Those who own a Porsche might like some accessories alongside; those who don't yet own one might aspire to the lifestyle as much as the sports car. So it makes sense that there are Lava Orange suitcases, an Ocean Blue 'Summer Blouson' and even chinos available to buy from the Porsche Design store for the most committed fans.

Like the brand itself, Porsche Design has grown from humble beginnings. It was founded in 1972 by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche and Hans-Peter Porsche; its first product was the Chronograph 1 watch. Now, half a century later Porsche Design does things like collaborate with Huawei on smart devices. So it's turned out pretty well.
