Netflix will cut 'Bird Box' footage months after outcry

Netflix will remove footage of a real fiery train disaster from its hit post-apocalyptic survival film "Bird Box" months after the streaming giant was criticized for exploiting a tragedy. The stock footage was taken from a 2013 crash in the Quebec town of Lac-Megantic when a train carrying crude oil came off the tracks and exploded into a massive ball of fire, killing 47 people.

I watched BirdBox I don't recall the train disaster scene. netflix should take out the driving blindfolded scene. The end was pretty goofy as well.

I enjoyed the movie...sorry I did not correlate the two...but did enjoy the movie.

Other cities having these type trains going through the heart of the population should know the true danger it can cause. Should start a conversation about public safety. We R to quick to dismiss events & not learn from them. Can’t hold ppl accountable if facts R withheld.
