Netflix’s content chief says 'nothing has changed' with Disney+ launch and they're prepared to weather competition from rivals because of investments in original programming.

Netflix Inc. Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said “nothing has changed” with the launch of Walt Disney Co.’s new streaming service, expressing optimism that his company is prepared to weather competition from rivals because of its investments in original programming.

“We don’t really get that distracted by competition,” Mr. Sarandos said Thursday at an event at New York’s Paley Center for Media.

Have you seen Disney’s investments in original programming? Ever hear of The Avengers and their separate movies?

If Netflix really thinks that then maybe they should invest in bringing back all of their original series that have been put on the chopping block so their can be more variety. Plus a few of them definitely shouldn’t have been canceled
