While Netflix will be happy with any Oscars it wins at next year’s awards, nothing will make the company more joyful than a Best Picture award, which is something no video streaming service has yet to accomplish.
2020 saw Netflix’s mega-budgeted Mafia epic “The Irishman” as a Best Picture nominee, while earlier this year the streamer had its films “Mank” and “Trial of the Chicago 7” contend for the same top Oscar award.

i'm still trying to get my head around the use of reggae music for The Harder They Fall, which i doubt will be nomitated for anything
Imagine thinking 'The Harder They Fall' has better Oscar chances than 'Don't Look Up'
Crazy to have thought this 5 years ago.
Personally, Don’t Look Up will be more competitive than The Harder They Fall.
i mean this silly american tradition of releasing all of the so called 'important' films ... all at the same time 😤😤😤 end of the year ... that lust for oscars 😤😤😤
‘The Harder They Fall’ is awful 👎🏻
Donald Trump is starting his Trump Media Empire. The award to be presented to the winners of the various series will be called 'The Donald.' Trump humbly accepted the honor.
thesummitofthegods for sure in animation
The Power of the Dog and Don't Look Up. I think Tick tick...Boom and The Harder They Fall have no chance and The Lost Daughter will only be a contender in Actress and Screenplay. I would love for Passing to get in but I don't see it.
The power of the dog !!!
It is laughable that they're comparing Tick, Tick Boom (80% RT, 76% MC, directed by L-M. Miranda) and The Power of the Dog (92% RT, 90%MC, directed by Jane Campion) as if both movies had the same critical buzz.
What about the The Unforgivable?
The Harder They Fall was a bad movie
The Harder They Fall is out of that race already, it has bad reviews
The harder they fall has no great Oscar chances.
