The National Association of Theater Owners is speaking out against the release plan for the 209-minute, R-rated film, saying Netflix erred in not being willing to compromise with two major chains and agree to a more traditional theatrical window.
All of Netflix's original productions are nothing more than subscription bait.

I think Netflix is totally wrong. Scorsese, De Niro and Pacino's fans are not on the internet streaming service but in theaters everywhere over the planet.

The current theatrical window isn't working a studio should be able to decide how long they want to play a film in cinemas rather than being dictated by exhibitors who can pull the film out within weeks if it underperforms but still the have to play out the window
That is absolute horseshit, they were willing to give a 45 day exclusive theatrical window to the film. BLAME the theater chains once again.
Sounds more like the big theater chains sent a message to a lot of people that they don’t want their business.
