A statement from Buckingham Palace on Saturday revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will no longer use their royal titles or formally represent the British monarch Queen Elizabeth II. They will also no longer receive public funds for royal duties and will repay the £2.4 million of taxpayer money that was spent refurbishing Frogmore Cottage, their U.K. family home.

I don’t get this. All happiness to them, but it seems their problem is with how they’re treated by the media. The more they remain in the public eye—as royals or not—the more they will be a target of the media. I don’t see how this will improve the situation.
