Netflix Cancelling ‘Heartstopper’ Or Renewing It For Season 2 Is Another Big Test

), yet it hasn’t been renewed for season 2 yet. This time around, I’m talking about Heartstopper, the new UK drama about high school boys in love.

Heartstopper seems like another prime moment for Netflix to do the “right” thing, even if their metrics may not indicate it’s some kind of earthshattering, massive hit. Despite such glowing reviews and constant chatter about the series, I never saw the show place in Netflix’s top 10 list in the US since it debuted. It did end up in Netflix’s top 10Though in theory, Heartstopper’s storylineend after the events of season 1, those behind the show very much do want a season 2.

“If we get another season , I’m looking forward to seeing how they develop as a couple. There are three more graphic novels too!”So, there’s additional source material, the cast wants more, fans wants more. What’s the hold up? This is one of those “Netflix loses absolutely nothing by greenlighting season 2” situations, and yet we have been here many times before.

Have you looked at Netflix’s Quick Ratio lately? Might have more to do with that number than the ratings numbers.
