Netflix Announces New Animated Movie 'The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep'

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Netflix 's favorite monster hunter is returning with the new animated movie , The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep. The upcoming title marks the second animated expansion of its Henry Cavill -led show, with the first being 2021's Nightmare of the Wolf, which told the origin story of Vesemir and how he would become the mentor to Geralt of Rivia.

The next animated movie, whose teaser can be seen above, will see Geralt hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village, only to find himself embroiled in an ancient conflict between the local humans and merpeople. While Sirens of the Deep will see the returns of Jaskier's Joey Batey and Anya Chalotra's Yennefer from the live-action show, it's also been revealed that Doug Cockle will reprise his role of Geralt from the beloved Witcher games.

How Sirens of the Deep Can Prime Viewers For Cavill's Recast While Batey and Chalotra's returns are understandable, the announcement that Cockle will be taking over the role of Geralt for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep comes at a very interesting point in the franchise.
