Tue, May 21st 2024 at 9:40 PMToday marks a week since 19-year-old Tymeshia Miller and her unborn baby boy were shot and killed. Community activists are expanding a neighborhood cleanup initiative to other areas of Harrisburg to combat crime.

Brown says the shooting death of Miller shows the need to revitalize more parts of Harrisburg. That includes more parts of Uptown where Miller was shot and at beginning of the month 27-year-old Christian Watt was also shotMonday community activists came together for the second consecutive week to clean up the community with the goal to cut crime. Linda Manigault says their continued effort is great since she sees what’s going on in her own backyard.

This week they’ve expanded to another area in Uptown and now they’re in the process of getting windows in abandoned buildings boarded up. They're looking to expand the revalorization efforts.
