allyschweitzer Excellent story. My question to those opposing new housing: Consider the clerks in your neighborhood stores, the wait staff in your favorite restaurants, the sanitation workers that keep your community clean. Where would you have them live? (Inevitable answer: 'somewhere else')

allyschweitzer Thank you for the important coverage, as a homeowner in favor of Thrive and housing for all, we need more affordable housing, and that means we need to talk about this a lot more than we are because a few voices are drowning out the majority.

allyschweitzer Ooh I can see one of their houses from this picture!

I just don't understand the premise that people who live in a neighborhood should somehow have no say in its future because a developer or realtor in a different neighborhood knows what's best 🤷‍♂️

'But' or 'Because'?

everyone is 'I got mine and that's all I care about' when it comes to homeownership, and 'I'm not anti-housing, I'm just anti-housing here'. what happened to empathy, where are your children supposed to live?

Average LA County gas price drops for 6th consecutive dayThe average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Sunday for the sixth consecutive day, decreasing 1.2 cents to $5.987. Nice! A penny! So, you're telling us the price has improved to insanely high. Okay. How about an article on all the layers of taxes that are applied to gas and other things that decrease purchasing power and add to the wealth gap? Lower income groups are the most impacted. Taxes are good but also bad, especially when those taxes aren’t solving problems..
