Near record-high temperatures forecast for Dallas-Fort Worth as heat warnings continue

The dangerous heat and dry conditions in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas are expected to continue with temperatures reaching near record-highs of 100 degrees and no rain in the forecast. Despite the scorching weather, no daily high temperature records have been broken this month.

Tuesday set another daily record for high minimum temperature at DFW Airport with 86 degrees, according to weather service data. The previous record for Aug. 8 was 84 degrees set in 2011.a new record high minimum temperature was set. Although the triple-digit weather has been scalding recently, no daily high records have been set so far this month.A weather watch issued earlier in the week by ERCOT, the electrical grid operator for most of the state, is set to last through Friday.

The grid has set new all-time high records for power demand again and again this season. Monday marked the 8th time the record was broken this year when demand peaked at 83,854 megawatts, according to ERCOT data.Partly cloudy, breezy and very hot. Low: 84.
