By then, it's expected that more information about the show will be revealed. Perhaps CBS may even use NCIS season 21 as a launching pad for whatever comes for the couple. This means that both or either of them can make another cameo in the mothership series.
Mark Harmon is already slated to return in NCIS: Origins, a prequel tackling his earliest years at the agency. The actor will narrate the events of the show.
