NBCUniversal broadcasts some of the best-known and longest-running programs in late-night TV. Now the company hopes to add two new shows to its wee-hours roster. The company behind “The Tonig…

. Both are slated to launch in September, with Peacock ordering nine half-hours of Ruffin’s program and 11 episodes of Wilmore’s show, which did not have a time format attributed to it.

Wilmore’s program, which has not been given a title yet, will feature the host in discussions with people from sports, politics and entertainment and is billed as being “funny, sometimes serious, potentially awkward and most definitely honest.” Wilmore previously hosted “The Nightly Show,” a companion to Comedy Central’s long-running “Daily Show” that gained some critical acclaim but was canceled by the network in August of 2016 – just before the presidential election that year.

All of TV’s late-night programs have placed more stock in the attention they get from digital audiences, often emphasizing viewership of individual sketches and segments on YouTube over the ratings they generate via traditional TV. Many hosts and producers have come to recognize that a significant chunk of their viewers come from people sampling clips distributed via social media or passed along by friends and influencers.

Trump Slaughters Dozens Of American Troops In Hopes Of Cashing In On Russian BountiesBAGRAM, AFGHANISTAN—Following intelligence reports that Moscow offered to pay Taliban-linked militants to kill coalition forces in Afghanistan, President Donald Trump reportedly slaughtered dozens of U.S. service members Monday in hopes of cashing in on the bounties. “Once I heard Russia was paying out these six-figure sums for dead American soldiers, I knew I couldn’t leave that kind of money lying on the table,” said Trump, remarking that his position as commander in chief gave him full access to U.S. military movements, which meant he had no trouble selecting targets and taking out the troops while they slept. “We weren’t about to walk away from a deal like that. Not on my watch. All we had to do is send in some planes, bomb a few of our bases, and tell the Russians where to send the payment. Believe me, no other president has handled Russia the way I have. No one.” At press time, Republican lawmakers defended Trump’s decision, stating that the president’s methods might be unconventional, but collecting bounties placed on the heads of American troops was good for the economy.\n Hey askin for help is anyone willing to donate a $1 to my sister, nephew & I, I lost both my jobs due to COVID I filed for unemployment but waitin for the benefit and we dont have any food & bills comin up if you can help we would be super grateful Venmo or Cashapp MattMartins147 ...it is what it is... But of the pro players we know, I argue Ruth. A great pitcher before they even made him a batter, and he changed both the game & what it means to our culture.
