Kelli Tennant said she sustained physical injuries and suffered mental and emotional distress after Walton forced himself on her in a Santa Monica, California, hotel room while he was an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors. Tennant says in the suit that Walton continued to make unwanted advances toward her following the alleged incident.No date is given for the alleged assault.
After he stopped serving as an analyst, Walton offered Tennant"advice and mentorship," according to the lawsuit."Ms. Tennant viewed Defendant Walton as a trusted colleague, mentor and friend," the lawsuit said, adding that she was aware Walton had a wife and kids."Ms. Tennant was not interested, romantically or sexually, in Defendant Walton.

One confounding nugget in this - She previously worked for the Lakers regional sports network and didn’t report this until after Walton worked for the team. It appears that may have played a factor in the timing of all of this, which is disconcerting in a couple ways.

My only issue, per ESPN is that accusers attorney stated they had no interest in filing criminal charges but would not rule out working with the authorities. To me that statement was semi blackmail, letting Walton know to give them their money or they will file criminal charges.
I don't know what to make of this. While she seemed credible at her press conference I do wonder if they really had an affair that went sour. Walton married his beautiful volleyball girlfriend in 2013 a year before the alleged incident. Just seems a bit odd.
Sad situation all around, she comes forward years later and no criminal investigations will likely happen. His reputation tainted now, and whatever the truth is we’ll never know because it will be settled in a court room with cash. A change is necessary.
