Officer Kristopher Sharpe suffered non-life threatening head and neck injuries when a silver Volvo SUV smashed into the back of his marked patrol car while he was assisting at the scene of a highway wreck, authorities said Sunday. The officer was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with head and neck injuries. His injuries were non-life threatening and police said he was expected to be released later Sunday.
