NASA researchers have found that methane could be a possible sign of alien life — and the recently launched James Webb Space Telescope can further prove it.

Telescope will begin looking for methane in an attempt to detect life in deep space.

Furthermore, the exoplanet can not be water-rich, and its planetary atmosphere needs to have more methane than carbon monoxide. Researchers believe the James Webb Space Telescope is capable of detecting methane in outer space, thus leading a clue to alien life.Still, finding methane on an exoplanet does not necessarily mean that life is there.

“Methane is one piece of the puzzle, but to determine if there is life on a planet you have to consider its geochemistry, how it’s interacting with its star, and the many processes that can affect a planet’s atmosphere on geologic timescales,” she continued.

A Stunning Image Shows Stars Aligned for the James Webb Space TelescopeThis image of a star with galaxies in the background was taken by the James Webb Space Telescope during its alignment process. What a great image to start off a long adventure of discovery! A tip of the iceberg My hypothesis would be the alignment of galaxies are brought about by gravitational forces. It would be great to know. It is remarkable to have James Webb space telescope. We need more sophisticated devices for precise investigation. Professor Isagholian, astronomy and physics
