Two Naperville high school students have won corporate-sponsored scholarships through the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Himesh Nasaka, of Bolingbrook, a senior at Neuqua Valley High School, was awarded the National Merit Sony Electronics Inc. scholarship. Nasaka plans to pursue a career in electrical engineering. July 20: The Heavy Sounds featuring Gina Bloom and Renaldo Domino followed by Croce Plays Croce 50th Anniversary Tour;Aug. 17: One Night Band will perform pop hits from Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars and others followed by Taylor Swift tribute band Sparks Fly.Starting Monday and for the next five weeks, the city of Naperville will conduct its annual free curbside bulk brush collection for residents who want to get rid of unbundled branches and tree trimmings.

The city will not pick up brush piles that are badly tangled, tied or contain nails, metal, root balls or other objects. Willow whips, vines and shorter branches must be placed in bags with a yard waste sticker and left out on regular garbage collection days.For more information, go toA grand opening celebration for the new synthetic turf ball field at the DuPage River Sports Complex will be held May 11 by the Naperville Park District and Naperville Little League Baseball.
