Nanoleaf is back with their most permanent light fixture yet. More than just a shape you stick to the wall or a lightbulb you screw in, the Skylight is a fixture that you affix to your ceiling, replacing your old fluorescent lights or ceiling fans with an adaptable, multi-hued, programmable smart light.
This is definitely not a beginner installation. You'll want to have replaced a fan or light fixture . It's not difficult but you are dealing with bare wires, high voltage, and aligning things so that they square with your room dimensions. That last one might actually be the hardest part. Once installed, it takes a bit more wire corralling and routing to connect your panels together. Thankfully it's not an overly arduous task. Youhaving to do it all at an odd overhead angle, which can get tiresome after a bit if you're doing more than just a few lights. Just make sure you test the lights before you pop the panel covers on.Once installation is out of the way, the Skylight hooks up to the Nanoleaf app just like any other light.
