North Korea has opened a high-profile political conference focused on overcoming 'harsh trials and difficulties' days before a year-end deadline it set for the U.S. to make concessions in nuclear negotiations.

North Korea opened a high-profile political conference to discuss how to overcome “harsh trials and difficulties," state media reported Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, days before a year-end deadline set by Pyongyang for Washington to make concessions in nuclear negotiations.

The ruling Workers’ Party meeting is a focus of keen attention as some observers predict North Korea might use the conference to announce it would abandon faltering diplomacy with the U.S. and lift its moratorium on major weapons test. The meeting is intended to “overcome the manifold and harsh trials and difficulties and further accelerate the development of the revolution with transparent anti-imperialist independent stand and firm will,” KCNA said.KCNA said Kim made a speech on overall state affairs and the work of the Central Committee, but gave no further details.

After his second summit with President Donald Trump in February in Vietnam failed, Kim gave the U.S. until the end of this year to offer new initiatives to salvage the nuclear negotiations. North Korea has recently warned that its resumption of tests of long-range missiles and nuclear devices depends on U.S. action.

It's a shame how misguided some leaders are to believe a greater war arsenal is the path to success. Beyond security, they can not win, in a modern world, with military strength. Abusing power has negative consequences. It takes wisdom, and greater intentions to be successful.

Time to United North and South Korea. The North will never have good economy unless united with the South. One country will be much better for both sides.

The best friend of trump plays baby.

Good Luck North Korea!!

Just an alert. I wonder how many were sober at the time? a christmas truce couldve gone wrong. we tend to forget that we are always at the brink of a nuclear war. This is Christmas Present from North Korea. False Alert by NHK Japanese TV Station also happened. It’s not just a coincidence. North Korea or North Korean spies in SKorea and Japan did it.

U.S., Allies Await the Unknown from North KoreaAfter North Korea warned earlier this month of a “Christmas gift” for the U.S., defense officials across the Pacific prepared for the worst. Now U.S., South Korean and Japanese officials find themselves facing a familiar question: What will North Korea do, and when will it do it? Nobel! Nobel! All known: the folks are trying to protect their regime. He needs to feed his people, other than that, I don't care about his weapons capabilities, he's all bluster.
